"THE COMMUTE TO WORK"

Even coyotes have a commute to work. This frozen beaver dam (Photo #1 & Photo #2) made for a great bridge to traverse a creek. Work for them is scoping out areas within their territory to locate. Like us, it's generally on a familiar route but can have detours due to congestion and traffic to avoid (i.e. people, dogs, people & their dogs, etc.). There can be delays as well. The delays, for coyotes, can be positive, i.e. locating a source of food such as a newly found carcass. And then, of course, there will be an invite to other family members to join. Who needs a cell phone when a vocalization will more than do.

This youngster was back on his/her way home, taking the time to re-check the meadow & creek area for anything that may have wandered in (Photo #3). 

And then homeward bound or at least in the vicinity (Photo #4 through Photo #8). Places to go, family to see.
