"FISHING EXPEDITIONS WITH BLUE"
Great Blue Heron - 7 Photos
The following photos were taken in the month of September 2026 and the first half of October 2026.
They are of a young Great Blue Heron. He (and I say "he" because he is a very tall heron) still has brown/beige tones on his wing tips.
Assume he will be leaving soon for warmer climates but as the ponds have not yet frozen over and there are still plenty of fish to be had, he has been lingering stocking up, so to speak, for that trip south (Photo #1 through Photo #4).
And with hunger temporarily satisfied, there has been ample time out for grooming, stretching and relaxing (Photo #5 through Photo #7).
