"PAWS-ITIVELY PURRFECT"

Bobcat - 6 Photos

It was a double take when I saw this bobcat crossing the road to gain access to a meadow.

He was so large that at first sighting I thought someone had lost their medium size dog. According to some research, male bobcats can reach up to 24 inches in height from the shoulder. From his size and attitude, this bobcat was definitely male and having had the opportunity to photography him, he exceeds that 24 inch mark. One could probably add at least another 3 inches to his height.

And attitude, walking along nose in the air with a casual look to the side, until he reached a small meadow where there was obviously prey either in the grass or had recently been there by his thorough search.

And the photographs were a result of that hunting expedition. There was no rush or hurry as he explored the grasses until he moved on at the same jaunty pace.
