"YOU PUT YOUR LEFT FOOT IN"

Moose (North American) Female - 4 Photos

Foothills, Alberta, CA

N.B. All photos taken from a safe distance & location, with a long lens.

Continuing on from the two previous blogs, "Moose Mama" & "Moose JR", Mama Moose pushed her way out of the thicket, stopped briefly and then proceeded to give herself a really good shake.

Like all mammals, giving oneself a good shake probably to remove excess water, etc. entails a serious shifting of body & skin and does provide some unique facial expressions whether it be a dog, a mink or in this instance, a huge female moose.

So to paraphrase that playful song, The Hokey Pokey, "You put your left foot in, you take your left foot out and you shake it all about" and when it comes to a moose "all" is a great deal. :)
