This young eagle has successfully fledged and is gaining more confidence each day, with flight skills.
Soaring in the clouds and flying up and down the river now seems matter of fact. However, take-offs & landings are still slightly hesitant, which certainly helps in preparing to capture a young eagle's departure in stages. Slight body changes, although only seconds in duration, can be hints as to a youngster's intention for take-off and hopefully give enough time to prepare for flight.
And, of course, there can be a few false starts but there can't be any second guessing.
It goes without saying, Bald Eagles only have beautiful children.
