Mum or Dad having flow in with a fish, it was a quick down to business of eating and then the first youngster took off, followed shortly by the second eaglet.

And for the first time in days, the wind was blowing from the north which meant flight departures were towards me with the sun shining behind me.

And like all teenagers, having taken in a great deal of calories, once having finished a meal, they were off to work off all that energy and enthusiasm, flying high & circling in the clouds. There still some work to be done on landings and eventually, mastering the skill of fishing. But in the meantime, the parents will still be providing the necessary food for growth and maturity.

So here is one young eaglet making an effortless but rapid departure to enjoy the freedom of flight.
