"THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING BIRD"

There was a release of a movie in 2025, called "The Incredible Shrinking Man", based on an adaptation of a novel, in which a shipbuilder mysteriously shrinks after a mysterious meteorological event at sea and everyday objects & survival become extremely challenging.

The Sora, of course, is naturally diminutive, being only approximately 8 - 10 inches in length and weighing between 2 to 4 ounces, making him/her slightly smaller than an American Robin. 

Flat rocks appear like mountain plateaus and bullrushes seem to be tall trees next to the Sora. Fallen vegetation such as reeds and small branches need to be tackled much like we would on a walk through dense woodlands, but with long yellow legs & long toes, almost alien like in appearance, the Sora seems to take these in stride.

His/her walk, which has been described much like a chicken is quite endearing. Every so often, the Sora does a little hop to navigate terrain & expedite the journey. 

A very small bird well camouflaged (except for that bright yellow beak) with a quick erratic gait makes for a little rail that is usually more often heard, than seen.
