Am almost certain this swan along with his/her partner have now begun the trip north to nest and hopefully, produce & raise offspring. They may, in fact, have already arrived at their destination.
But before that departure, there were days spent feeding, grooming & resting in preparation for the Spring migration.
And grooming all those feathers involves some rather contortionist moves. My personal favourite is Photo #8.
And then to end the session, there is a quick flap of the wings (Photo #9) to shake out all those feathers and a meet up with the mate.
