Bald Eagle (Female & Male) - 7 Photos

Perhaps eagle chatter is not as soft & lyrical as other bird song, particularly that of songbirds but the sound of an eagle cry or the conversation that goes on between partners is magical. (I wish I could understand eagle speak.)

The female of the pair was already perched on a branch (Photo #1) and a short time after, her mate arrived and landed on a branch just above (Photo #6). 

A brief interval passed and then the conversation began. The way Bald Eagles stretch their necks upward & open their mouths wide as they "sing" is not so different from their human choir member counterparts. However, I believe all eagles are in the soprano category.

The female was the more prolific of the two in the chat, while her partner was more reserved. To avoid any controversy, I'm not going to comment any further on that participation difference.:) Hence, more poses of the female.

Their size difference is certainly apparent, the female being much larger (and always seems to have a stern demeanor), her mate, to me, has a more relaxed look.
