Coyotes are one of my favourite mammals to photograph, whether it be their hunting exploits, travelling effortlessly across the landscape, playing or just relaxing.
I think they have a certain regal quality about them as they go about their business but in Winter, when coyotes are in full cold weather gear, able to manage the elements of the cold months, they become masters of their environment.
Under the cloak of winter shrubbery, coyotes can seemingly disappear, only to re-appear further afield.
But cast against a completely white background with only a few clumps of dead grasses in the snowy foreground, the coyote stands out in Nature's own photo studio.
