With Autumn here and Winter quickly closing in, particularly in the Rockies, it's probably the last days of harvesting this year for the Pikas (Photo #1 & Photo #2).
Making quick trips from the rocky slopes to the meadow below and back, with as much vegetation a Pika can carry in her/his mouth (Photo #3 & Photo #4), it's all about adding to those all important hay piles in the rocky crevices. What is stashed in Autumn, will help sustain the Pika through the Winter months.
And there was another mammal nearby caching food for those cold months (Photo #5). It was a Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrel playing hide and seek in between the crevices.
